A board of three, a management of two
On 18 and 22 September 2026 the commercial register entered three directors and two managers. The board gains a lawyer who spent eight years in the enforcement division of FINMA and a certified accountant with more than forty years of bank auditing and anti-money-laundering review; the firm's two authorised fiduciaries form its management.
The commercial register of the Canton of Ticino entered the new composition of the governing bodies of IBEX SERVICES SA on 18 and 22 September 2026. The board goes from two members to three; management, which was one person, is now two. All five sign jointly, two signatures to an act: no one signs for the firm alone.
The entries are public — no. 20 and no. 21, gazetted on 23 and 25 September — and everything below follows from them.
Who joins the board
Fabio Sabino, Vice-Chairman. Lawyer, admitted in Ticino in 2004, specialising in banking and financial law. From 2006 to 2014 a lawyer in the enforcement division of FINMA; then, for ten years, deputy head of legal and compliance at Banca Popolare di Sondrio (Suisse) SA. He has lectured at the Centro Studi Villa Negroni since 2014. On the board he has oversight of the firm's anti-money-laundering compliance.
Martin Pius Gloor, Member. Swiss certified accountant — esperto contabile diplomato federale — since 1986, formerly a partner of Revisuisse Price Waterhouse, today PwC, in Lugano. More than forty years of bank auditing, anti-money-laundering reviews at financial intermediaries and forensic work for the judicial authorities. On the board he is responsible for the control of the firm's anti-money-laundering framework.
They have one thing in common that a fiduciary firm needs: both spent most of their careers looking at other people's work from the supervisor's side of the table. That experience is what they bring, and it is theirs — not a relationship between this firm and the institutions they worked for.
Why now
IBEX SERVICES SA carries on activities that the revised Anti-Money Laundering Act treats as those of an adviser, and falls within its scope from 1 October 2026, with the due diligence obligations that follow; the legal notice sets this out in full. It is why two of the three directors carry an anti-money-laundering duty on the board, and why the appointment comes now rather than in six months.
Who runs the firm
Cristina Cardoni is General Manager and Cristina Benedetti Deputy General Manager. They are the two people in the firm who hold a personal authorisation as fiduciario commercialista under the LFid, and this part of the appointment matters more than an organisation chart shows: art. 6 of the cantonal act requires the authorisation to sit with a board member who has management responsibility or with a member of management. From today it sits with both of the people who run the firm.
A board is not there to sign faster. It is there so that somebody looks at somebody else's work.
What does not change
Files stay with the same people. Whoever answers the telephone today answers it tomorrow, and the team of accountants, payroll and tax specialists in Chiasso is the same. The appointments change who answers for the work in law, not who does it.
