A place to work, twenty minutes from Milan
We have opened shared offices at Via Siemens 9 in Chiasso: an open workspace with shared services, for clients who need somewhere real to work in Switzerland alongside the mandate we already run for them.
The request came from clients often enough that it stopped being an exception. A company sets up in Switzerland, the accounts and the payroll are with us, the first employee starts — and then someone asks where they are supposed to sit. Not a headquarters. A desk, a meeting room, a printer, an address that is a real place and not a nameplate.
Via Siemens 9 is our answer. It is an open office a few minutes from our Via Balestra practice, run as shared workspace with shared services for clients of the firm. Desks by the day or by the year, meeting rooms, reception, mail handling and the administrative support that normally has to be hired before it is needed.
Why here
Chiasso sits on the border. Milan is twenty minutes away, Lugano fifteen, Zurich under three hours by train — and everything inside the office is Swiss. For a group whose operations are Italian and whose entity is Swiss, that geography is not a convenience, it is the whole point. Most of our work has more than one country in it, and the handover between them is easier when both are within a morning.
An address is not substance. Substance is people, decisions and activity in the place where you say they are.
What it is not
We should be plain about this, because the question will be asked. Renting a desk does not create Swiss substance, and it does not make a structure work that would not otherwise work. Substance is a question of where decisions are actually taken and where people actually are. A workspace helps only where there is something genuine to house.
Where there is, the practical friction of a first year in Switzerland drops sharply — and that friction is what usually delays the things that matter, not the tax rate.
Who it is for
- ·Companies opening in Switzerland whose first hires need somewhere to work from day one.
- ·Foreign groups whose people come to Ticino regularly but not permanently.
- ·Small Swiss teams that want meeting rooms and reception without a lease.
- ·Clients already on a mandate with us who would rather have one supplier than four.
The office is open now. If you would like to see it, come to Via Balestra first and we will walk over — it is a short walk, and you will learn more from ten minutes in the room than from anything we could write here.
